It's back again - for any parents and children who would like some extra encouragement going back to school this fall. Whether you are changing schools or just feeling insecure about starting back, we have some excellent resources for the school years. Stuart and Carla Palmer will again be hosting the parents. Children will have activities with Samantha Parson, Melissa Crowl, and veteran teacher Melanie Ladd. Youth will be led by Matt and Beth Johnson.

Join us for breakfast and a discussion of "Facing the Giants". This month's big question is "What does it mean to live for a higher purpose?" Following the breakfast, join us for Disc Golf Scramble at Lake Mingo Park; to be home by 11:00AM. RSVP on the blue cards or e-mail Craig Parson at theparsonclan@mac.com.


Please join us for Sunday night singing. There will be a love offering taken to support the Youth Mission 2008 Fund. Singers are: Jody Brock, Nam Brown, Teri Dowdy, Roger Garrison, Richard Mick, Craig & Samantha Parson, Katherine Peppiatt, Katherine Smith and the Youth Band.


Entering grades 3, 4 or 5? Interested in becoming an acolyte? Please join us for training. This is an important and ongoing ministry. All new and returning acolytes are asked to attend to learn new skills and practice what you know. Questions? - call Samantha.

Fun Times  ...Get Involved!!!

Everyone involved in the Nicholasville United Methodist Church Harvest Festival has a great time... just one of may reasons why we would love to count you among the participants for the 5th annual event, Friday and Saturday, October 5-6th! To help ensure a better match of your talents with the various components of the day's activities, a list of team facilitators and brief description of each task - opportunity - is provided. We encourage you to contact the team facilitator of the activity which interests you most and sign up to volunteer (individuals, Sunday School classes, small groups invited). It is still early enough to get in on some of the planning and preparation work. Each team will be expected to assist with setup and tear-down.
