NUMC offers a variety of opportunities in community outreach ministries and in-house ministry to our own members. We're constantly in need of help! Here are some of the programs and projects of NUMC. Find something you like or would like to become more involved with and volunteer! You will find information and links to contacts in each area. Get involved and get rewarded!
There's a LOT of help needed out there...
Nurseries
There are never too many helpers in our nurseries! Every parent enjoys the security of knowing that their children are safe and cared for in their absence. This is especially true of parents with infants, toddlers and preschoolers! Knowing that loving and skilled individuals staff our nurseries can make a young parent's worship experience more meaningful. If you have a love of working with our youngest members, contact our Children's Minister, Samantha Parson to volunteer in one of our nurseries.
Children's Church
Prefer to work with elementary age children? Volunteer to spend sermon time with our Children's Church Team. These volunteers provide an age- appropriate (and fun!) worship experience for Kindergarten through 5th Graders. Contact Samantha Parson to volunteer.
Youth Group
Our Youth are a lively, talented and ever-hungry group! Volunteers are needed to work with them both spiritually and physically. Volunteer to provide a meal for a youth function or participate in one of their many fundraisers. See Matt or Beth Johnson to find out just how you can help.
Sunday School
Feel the call to lead a Sunday School class, a bible study, or small group? Let us know... or volunteer to be a substitute for any level. We always have a need for teachers! Contact the church office to volunteer.Visit a Shut-In
Sometimes, members of our church family cannot attend a Sunday worship service due to poor health. Offer to take a Sunday Service CD and a warm smile to one of our homebound members.
